I woke up feeling much better on Monday morning and was excited to start exercising again.  As suggested by Darren I was to start on week 3 again, so I could ease my body back into it.  It’s been a busy week and I must admit that on two occasions I didn’t do the Mobility Matrix and the Sun Salutation.  I can really feel the difference when I haven’t done them.

There have been times when I have nearly forgotten that I’m on the detox and that I’m eating clean.  I have been close to eating something that I shouldn’t a couple of times.  Over the weeks I have noticed that I have been thinking about food less and less, unlike the first week.  On the odd occasion I have woken up feeling hungry, but generally my appetite has completely changed, as I don’t feel hungry all the time like I used to.   I no longer have large portions and I stop eating when I’m full up, which is far from my old eating habits.

I have found myself wanting to do more exercise, on the exercise days, so I have been for walks, out riding on my bike and sprinting.  Although I do get frustrated if I don’t get to do any extra exercise.

One thing I have found invaluable is keeping a food diary.  I have noticed that my body doesn’t like Chilli Powder, Potatoes and I have an intolerance to dairy.  I have cut out these foods from my diet and I feel so much better for it.  I no longer feel bloated.  One of the issues I had this week, which is my own fault, is that I ran out of bottled water, but didn’t have time to buy any.  At times I drank boiled water instead.  As a temporary measure I filled up my water bottles when the boiled water had cooled in the kettle.

This week I have really felt back on track and ready to burn some more calories.

One of the advantages of following a health and fitness programme like this at home is that it can easily be adapted to suit your needs.  Michelle got a bug during the final week and need to take some time off to recover, we advised her on exactly what to do and when to start back to exercise; getting feedback and 1-1 advice isn’t something that happens when following a DVD plan.
